Playtest 25/10/2023


Well, a lot happened recently so making current version took more time than a week.

Bugs fixed:

  • Player no longer "vibrates" around target point.
  • Game no longer crashes when user tries to exit to menu? I didn't change anything but the bug is not there anymore.
  • On prologue, if player clicks before the whole text is shown, the text will appear instead of changing scene.

Stuff added in this playtest:

  • Player stats and character creation.
  • Some unexplored fog. In final version it will cover the whole map.
  • Dialog system and some example dialog.
  • Player walking animation. I'm not satisfied how it looks so it will probably change in near future.

Stuff to add in the next playtest:

  • Combat system.
  • Ability to explore locations.
  • Maybe some location which will appear in the final version.

Next version will be the last of An Early Development Edition. After that a new phase, A Slightly Less Early Development Edition, will begin. Almost all basic game mechanics will be ready and I will be mainly adding stuff which will appear in the final version.
